What is physical activity?
Any activity that increases energy expenditure above resting levels. Exercise is physical activity that is structured and undertaken usually for fitness gains. Physical activity undertaken for health benefits would be targetined at avoiding disease and delay death. Exercise undertaken for fitness benefits would be targeted a improving one more compnets of health related fitness.

There is overwhelming evidence to prove that individuals leading active lives are less likely to die early or suffer from chronic disease such as coronary heart disease and diabetes, and are better able to cope with stress.
