2. New Online Scholarship Application Program
The Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation has implemented a new online scholarship program. The WFACF Board of Directors made this decision based on best practices as exercised by our peer community foundations, as well as the increased usage of online systems within the post-secondary education systems.
We appreciate your patience as we proceed through the initial process of implementing this new system. We have spent many hours setting up the system so it will be as seamless and easy as possible for the students to submit their application. We realize there will be challenges throughout this first year of the process and we will make every effort possible to work with the students, parents, counselors, references, etc. to help them submit their information. 3. New Online Scholarship Application Program
All applications must be completed and submitted online.
Transcripts will be uploaded online.
References are completed and submitted online.
Initial review process is completed online before committee meetings.
All correspondence to students including letters, awards, scholarship acceptance forms, reminders, etc. will be generated via distribution.
For renewable scholarships all post-acceptance forms, transcripts, etc. will be generated and/or submitted online.
Applications open January 1st and deadline is March 1st.

5. Review information provided Click on “Access WFACF Scholarship Portal”

6. Select Sign-up to create a login and password.
Once application is started it can be saved so student can access as many times as needed before submitting.
Even after submitting, student can still access and make changes until the deadline date, March 1st.
Please note: To achieve maximum utilization of the system, please use Chrome or Firefox, etc. as your browser. Internet Explorer is not fully compatible with the software.

7. The application is a 3 step process.
First step is to complete the General Application.
Student may save application and return at a later time to complete. Must “Finish and Submit” by deadline to be considered.

8. Once the General Application is finished and submitted, the system will automatically provide access to the High School General Application.
Second step is to complete the High School General Application, just a few more questions.
Student may save application and return at a later time to complete. Must “Finish and Submit” by deadline to be considered.
No further action is “required” after they complete these two applications. The system will automatically match the student to any scholarship opportunities for which they meet qualifications (Note: see next slide for further details.)
Applications will be reviewed by committee members after deadline date.

9. Once the High School General Application is finished and submitted, the system will provide a list of “Apply-to Opportunities” that the student may be eligible for, based on their answers to the first two general applications.
Third step is to review the available “Apply- to” opportunities and complete any applications for which the student might qualify. They may complete as many as they qualify for, if the Opportunity is open. See deadline dates below the “Apply” button. These are generally very short, just a few questions related specifically to that scholarship opportunity.
Student may save application and return at a later time to complete. Must “Finish and Submit” by deadline to be considered.

10. Transcripts are uploaded on the first General Application
Reference requests are on the High School General Application.
s are generated to persons noted by the student asking them to complete the reference form. It is completed and submitted online.
A reminder is distributed to the reference if not completed within 5 days of request.
Once the reference is submitted an is distributed to the student advising that it has been completed and submitted.

11. They can make updates to their applications until the deadline.
Students can access and review their applications by clicking on “My Applications” on the top menu.

12. Counselors and other references will receive an email asking them to complete the reference.
There will be a link in the body of the which will direct them to the website to complete the reference form.
