But… What compels God to do what He does?

God’s love compelled Him to… Genesis 1-3
Create man. Make man in His image. Create a dwelling place for man to dwell with Him: Eden.

Even when man sinned… “God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son...” (John 3:16)

Ultimately, you cannot be forced to love God.
You can be made to obey God. Example: Crusades Example: Parents making children “go to church”. But, you cannot be forced to “love God”: Yet, that is exactly what God commands by those who declare to have a relationship with Him. Deut 6:5

Passing the threshold It’s not just head-knowledge of what to do:
It is a genuine pricking of your heart. Cp Acts 2:37 Such moves us from our desire to His… out of love. 2 Co 5:14-15; 1 Jn 4:19 You’re compelled to “do” because of what has been done to/for you. Parable of two debtors: Lk 7:40-44 Two blind men healed: Matt 9:27-31
