THE GUIDELINES Toastmasters International World HQ Guidelines (Summarized) – Our Objective Geographically align clubs within areas and divisions Each division must have a minimum of three (3) areas Each area must have a minimum of four (4) clubs and no more than six (5) clubs Plan for possible growth and anticipated loss Create a more equitable distribution of active clubs between areas and divisions

THE STATUS Ineligible = 0-2 Members (Not counted towards Area alignment requirements) Low = 3-7 Members Active = 8+ Members Suspended = Paperwork entered to suspend charter (Not counted towards Area alignment requirements)

THE HIGHLIGHTS Divisions
Seven (7) divisions within District 56 – labeled alphabetically from ‘L’ to ‘R’. The Committee recommends keeping the number of divisions within the district at seven (7) with no division boundary changes.

THE HIGHLIGHTS Areas 38 areas between the seven (7) divisions within District 56. The Committee recommends no net addition of area The Committee recommends eliminating one area each from Division M and R; addition of one area each in Division N and P The Committee recommends re-alignment with appropriate area boundary changes due to the geographic balancing of clubs and areas based on growth and attrition.
