WFD -Transitional and Coastal (TC) water body reference layer
Status of submission and spatial validation, March 2011 Data submission in relation to WFD art 13 reporting (2010) - Data from 17 countries, Malta has now submitted GIS data Coverage - At least two countries have not submitted a complete coverage QA by Atkins - 3 Countries final - 5 Countries are pending feedback/updates after spatial validation - 9 Countries are waiting for spatial validation (incomplete datasets or issues with XML data) For most countries having updated there is ongoing communication and updates are expected Summary and conclusion: There are not more final countries (passed initial spatial validation by Atkins) than in November last year The overall coverage haven’t changed significantly since the 1. draft Several updates of spatial data are expected based on communication with countries, there is progress... The TC reference layers haven’t been updated for the march dealine because of little change since the first update Event/ date: WG D meeting, 7 April 2011 Author: Hans Mose Jensen (ETC/ICM-ICES)
