To provide deployed-affected and dependent restricted assigned Airmen and Air Force families respite from the challenges of deployment/dependent restricted assignments
Funding authorized for PLAYpass was not unlimited & due to increased utilization of the program, we must discontinue redemption as of 31 Mar 14
KEY AUDIENCE: PLAYpass cardholders with active cards
Key Dates:
19 Feb 14 – A&FRC stop issuing new cards & destroy any inventory of PLAYpass cards
23 Feb 14 – Online PLAYpass registration closes
31 Mar 14 – FSS activities no longer accept PLAYpass card as a form of payment (regardless of expiration date written on card)
30 Apr 14 – NAF accounting offices submit all PLAYpass reimbursement claims
Implementation/Action
Notify active cardholders of expiration date change
Communicate key dates to pertinent individuals/activities (FSS leaders, accountants, card issuers, marketing, activity managers & frontline staff)
