Christian Church Takes Shape
Christianity is the most important legacies of Ancient Rome. they are the followers of jesus because of their belief in Jesus, Romans persecuted christians for their beliefs. In 313 C.E. the emperor constantine issued a decree that allowed christians to practice their religion freely. Monasteries, or communities of monks took care of refugees and travelers. Monks also copied and preserved old texts, so that the learning will still spread by missionaries and everyone will know Jesus

The Organization of the Roman Catholic Church
The Roman Catholic Church leaders made a system off the previous Roman Government. By the time of the High Middle Ages all the clergy had a rank in the society Pope being the highest, there were also cardinals that could only be selected by the Pope. The Archbishops came after and oversaw archdioceses. Below the Archbishops were the Bishops that watched over and directed their Dioceses and the Parishes within the diocese. All Parishes have their own church building.

The increasing power of the church
During the middle ages the church acquired great economic power. In the 1050 it was the largest landholder. The medieval church added tithe or know as tax. It was forbidden for people of the church to marry and outlawing the selling church offices it was against the popes law. The popes most trust advisor was the monarch's they kept record of the people who came in and out of the church. Nowadays popes and the church still fight for the rights of giving christianity to the world.
