Effect of reader experience on ROC curves. ROC curves shown are for the interpretation of images in reading group 1. Reader 1 was the most experienced reader in the study, reader 7 had a moderate amount of experience, and reader 12 had less experience. The “X” marks minimally acceptable sensitivity and specificity; observed (sensitivity, specificity) pairs and regions of the ROC curve above and to the left of this point are desired.
