Who we are An independent registered charity formed in 1996 Awards grants in Scotland on behalf of a wide range of individuals and organisations Since 1996, we have distributed more than £70 million in grants, and now one of the largest funders of the voluntary sector in Scotland.

How do we do it? We work with a range of individuals, companies, charitable trusts and public agencies… … and administer over 270 different funds on behalf of these clients.

General Eligibility Criteria
A group with charitable aims; must have a constitution, annual accounts, bank account and management committee (don’t need to be a registered charity) Annual income under £250K; with the exception of some programmes. Must have at least 3 unrelated members on management committee Each programme will have it’s own additional set of criteria and exclusions so always read the guidelines before applying

Scotch Whisky Action Fund
To reduce alcohol harm; not for treatment, support or recovery projects. Priorities: The development of new, innovative projects designed… to reduce alcohol-related harms within communities. to educate people and communities about the dangers and consequences of misusing alcohol. Pilot projects that will test out new initiatives and ideas to promote responsible attitudes to alcohol consumption and prevent alcohol-misuse. Projects that promote alternative leisure and lifestyle choices for adults and young people to prevent alcohol-misuse. Awards: up to £10k; £25k exceptional circumstances Deadline: 12pm on Thursday 19th July 2019 Decisions: by 18th October 2019

Priorities children and young people elderly environment under 5's local community families health education physically disabled homelessness women social inclusion social economic regeneration grass roots sports Grants of up to £2K are available for projects with a maximum project spend of £8K Deadlines: 3 June, 2 September, 2 December 2019

Baillie Gifford Multi-Year (up to 3yrs)
Priorities Reducing isolation in Scotland’s communities Supporting financial inclusion Overcoming homelessness Improving employability and enterprise, particularly in young people Grants between £2k - £5k (per year for up to 3yrs) are available for projects with a maximum project cost of £60,000K Deadline: 4pm Friday 17th May 2019.

Wesleyan Foundation Health: projects promoting health and wellbeing
Priorities Health: projects promoting health and wellbeing Social: projects providing local solutions to meet local needs, promote community cohesion, and develop sustainable and supportive communities Education: educational projects enhancing learning, upskilling, and developing career opportunities, and supporting people to move towards employment Large Grants: £2k - £10k for one year Deadlines: 29 April, 29 July, and 21 October Small Grants: £500 - £2k opens 1 May closes 3 June Large, income cap £500k or less Small, income cap £250k or less

Launching soon: Please check our website in June for further details Priorities will be: Promotion of performing arts, visual arts, literature, community arts, and cultural traditions Support for artists and artistic organisations to work with communities Public art e.g. sculptures in open spaces engaging with communities Play areas for children Provision of local activity programmes (including local festivals, civic weeks and galas) Increasing participation in sport and physical activity Sports events Sport outreach programmes Grant size: up to £5k for 1 year Income £100k or less

Nationwide Building Society
Launching soon: Please check our website in August for further details Housing projects can apply for grants to help make a change in their local areas: Priorities: Improves conditions (this could be physical, emotional or social) Directly help people into a decent and affordable home (this could be through supported accommodation or stable rental accommodation) Indirectly help people into decent and affordable homes through the creation/evaluation/research of innovative ideas that challenge the existing housing model Grant size: Between £10,000 and £25,000 for bids from singular organisations; and between £10,000 and £50,000 for bids from partnerships and consortia. No income cap

Community Benefit Funds
Funded by local windfarms Please visit our website for further details on the wide range of funding available to specific communities around Scotland that are located near a windfarm. There are currently 51 grant programmes in total within the Communities Team all with their own priorities, criteria and grant size for specific geographical areas. In the Perth area the communities of Alva, Dollar, Menstrie, Tillicoultry, Blackford & Glendevon, Braco & Greenloaning, Glenfarg and Earn.
