MATTER Is anything that has mass and occupies a place in space. Depending Temperature and pressure Exist three states: -Solid -Liquid -Gas

4 THE STATES OF MATTER The mountain is the state of solid. The hot air balloon is the state of gas. The water is the state of liquid.

5 PROPERTIES OF SOLIDS It solid has a definite volume.
It has a definite shape. It’s rigid and can not be compressed easily. It does not diffuse into another solid easily.

6 THE HARDNESS SOLID The diamond:
Diamond is the hardest known natural material on the Mohs scale of mineral hardness, where hardness is defined as resistance to scratching and is graded between 1 (softest) and 10 (hardest).

7 PROPERTIES OF LIQUID A liquid has a definite volume.
A liquid has no definite shape and acquires the shape of the container. A liquid on heating changes into its gaseous state.

8 PROPERTIES OF GAS A gas has no definite shape or volume of its own.
It acquires the shape of the container. A gas has no surface of its own. Its not rigid and is easily compressed. A gas can diffuse into another gas. A gas on cooling changes into liquid state. A gas can flow in all directions.

9 THE MOST DANGEROUS GAS The VX gas:
The VX gas was invented by the british military in 1952.Is the most dangerous gas known in this date.

10 A FOURTH STATE? Yes ,there is a fourth state and its called plasma.Plasma is an ionized gas, a gas into which sufficient energy is provided to free electrons for atoms or molecules and to allow both species, ions and electrons, to coexist. On earth, plasma is naturally occurring in flames, lightning and the auroras.

11 THE STATES OF WATER There are three different types of states of water: solid, liquid and gas. Solid: we can find solid water in the form of hail ,snow or ice. Liquid: we can find liquid water in oceans, seas, lakes and rivers. Gas : we can find gases on the air.
