Security Measures Source: Delhi Development Authority, Street Design Guidelines. New Delhi, India Safety & Security – to provide for security measures, fencing, and for fire & disaster management. These include: Centralised security office at the main entrance. In addition, security cabins at the exit and other strategic points. Installation of CCTV cameras at strategic locations and vehicles of internal transport system, to ensure the security of women employees with emergency alarms. Monitoring of transitional spaces between the plots and the roads/parking/green spaces with CCTV and/or by guards during working and non-working hours. Fencing all around the industrial park made of environment-friendly materials. The fencing of an industrial park serves to provide for: Security from intrusions, nuisance, pilferage and / or theft and illegal activities; Noise / dust barriers; Enhancement of the aesthetics of the industrial; park while creating a visual branding and Visual screening. Provision for a police check post. Provision for a fire station and disaster management centre that will be run with pool of experts from industries. Lighting of all public spaces, roads, setbacks, emergency access / exits and rear / side boundaries is essential. This needs to be hooked to a failsafe backup system to operate during power failures. Clear demarcation of the route for emergency vehicles, along with contact details, for the benefit of employees, vendors and visitors. National standards for industrial buildings and parks for all emergency response systems, such as fire hydrants, stand-by ambulances, on site paramedics and natural disaster response systems. 22/07/2019 Orientation programme for APIIC, May 4-6, 2015
