Narrow-Track, Tilting, Recumbent Tricycle
“Narrow-track” means it doesn’t take up the whole bike path/road. “Tilting” makes it stable at high speeds even with a narrow axle track. “Recumbent” makes it comfortable to ride, reduces air drag, and allows for a full enclosure. “Tricycle” means you can ride easily at low speed and stop without putting your feet down.

Analysis Unstable Stable

Physical Testing
6
Conclusions Kinematic analysis verified by physical testing
Tricycle exhibits two distinct modes (stable and unstable) with semi- stability during the transition Resulting design carries a provisional patent
7
Next Steps Derive equations of motion for the tilting trike
Perform physical testing to validate the derived equations of motion Implement a truly user-controlled bell crank with mechanical actuation Begin to design a new vehicle that will offer better aerodynamics, handling, comfort, and adjustability
