A Challenge to Each Christian…
This lesson’s purpose: To encourage all Christians to reach out to others with the gospel. All of us need a “gentle push” in this area. We want to reach out but are hesitant. Underlying the common effort is the need for individual Christians to be motivated by an evangelistic outlook in DAILY life.

The Divine Will for Human Redemption – Our Beginning
“All things are of God” (2 Cor. 5:16-21; Cf. Mt. 28:18-20). That same message of redemption is to be preached and taught in every generation (2 Tim. 2:1-2).

Evangelism in Recent Years
Among the churches of Christ in the U.S., faithful congregations have grown in many areas but there is no dependable information available on growth rate (Cf. Acts 2:41, 4:4, 5:14, 5:42, 6:7, 8:4-5). Is there a continuous, zealous outlook in reaching the lost? Changing conditions in our society are affecting the church of the Lord (Cf. Mt. 5:13-16).

The Great Challenge: Reaching Out in Personal Evangelism!
The NT approach: Each disciple is to zealously take the gospel to others by life AND teaching! Share the same view as Paul (Rom. 1:16-17). Jesus has all authority (Mt. 28:18-20). Handle others with care (1 Cor. 9:19-23). Patiently, optimistically, let your light shine (Phil. 2:14-16). Develop a servant’s mentality (2 Cor. 12:14-15).
