4. Axis of Rotation
The imaginary line that Earth rotates around. 1 rotation is 24 hours. This causes day and night.

5. Revolution The motion of one object around another.
Earth revolves around the Sun.
Moon revolves around the Earth.

6. Equinox
Time of the year when sunlight shines equally on the northern and southern hemisphere.

7. Solstice
The area of sunlight is at a maximum in one hemisphere and a minimum in another hemisphere. These days make the longest/shortest days of the year.
December Solstice – Shortest day of the year.
June Solstice – Longest day of the year.
