The effect of TDP-43A315T expression on dendrite spine development. (A) YFP:WT and YFP:TDP-43A315T cortical neurons at 15 DIV develop extensive dendritic spines (boxed areas, enlarged in insets). (B) Quantification demonstrated a significant increase in spine density between 10 and 15 DIV in both WT and TDP-43A315T cortical neurons. There was a significant reduction in spine density in the TDP-43A315T neurons at both 10 and 15 DIV in comparison to WT controls. n=3 biological replicates. *P<0.05 (two-way ANOVA with Tukey's multiple comparisons test).
