Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

11. What is the Meaning of “Indwell” ?
“to reside; to live in a place; to take up residence” To be located or implanted inside something.
Before we consider the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in us, I would like to invite you to first take a look some indwelling that the Bible also mention.
We cannot accept the one and ignore the others.
So we need to be consistent and speak were the Bible speak and keep silence the Bible is silence…

14. THE CHRISTIAN DWELLS IN GOD
1 John 4:13… 13By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.
1 John. 4:15-16… 15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 16And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. NO

17. THE CHRISTIAN DWELLS IN CHRIST.
John. 6:56… 56 “He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him.
John 15:4-5… 4 “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. 5“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
2 Corinthians. 5:17… 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

18. THE HOLY SPIRIT DWELLS IN THE CHRISTIAN.
Romans 8:9… 9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.
Romans 8:11… 11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
1 Corinthians 3:16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

20. THE CHRISTIAN DWELLS IN THE HOLY SPIRIT

21. THE MEANS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT INDWELLING.
No Bible believer can doubt the fact of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
The Bible so states it : Father is IN the Christian, the Son is IN the Christian, and the Holy Spirit is IN the Christian.
The question is: HOW?

Galatians. 3:2… 2 This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
Rom. 10:17… 17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
