1. Axial path 2. 45 degree line path 3. Linear path

4 Operation steps 1. Position (usually at maximum feed rate) 2. Machine
3. Retract cycle repeat

5 2. Continuous Path Control (G1)
Also known as contouring Synchronizes axis of motion to produce a path, usually a line or arc Two or three distinct slide movements are involved, each slide movement being independent of the other and results in an angular path Can cut contours in 2 axis (most in 3 axis) and some up to 6 at a prescribed feed rate

6 Continuous Path involves
Linear interpolation (G1) and Circular interpolation (G2 & G3)
