What is a digital footprint
Digital footprint is a trail of data you make while using the internet. It inlcudes s you send, websites you visit, and information you put online .

How might my digital footprint affect my future opportunities?
Things I put on the internet can affect my future in various ways. If I were to put photos on the internet of things like drinking, drugs, or illegal things that can affect my job, school, and life. If my job were to look at my account and see illegal things they would not hire me. If a universaty or college wanted to look at my life to see if I am a good person or not and then they would see me doing illegal things then I would not get into the school.

3 strategies that I can use to keep my digital footprint safe
I can try and keep my account private and not public. I can keep my accounts appropriate with nothing illegal or not good on it. I can think before I put anything on my accounts so I make the right descision I wont put any personal information on the internet that people can access.

Can you erase your digital footprint?
You may never be able to fully erase your digital footprint, since so much information is already out there about pretty much everyone. There are a couple ways that you can reduce the amount of information out there that is about you, and in a couple cases, remove yourself from some databases.

What are they and what do they do?
Cookies are small text files that are put on your web browser or computer by web servers. It is made when you first visit a website that wants to store information. This text file ussually includes a name, an experation date, and a coded number.
