Diagnose the need of the Coachee
Good coaches have discovered that each coachee is at a distinct place in their development—knowledge, skill or motivation– and have varied degrees of readiness. So Gospel Coaching requires skill full interplay of the amount of direct communication or support with the readiness of the coachee. In Church planting, there are specific competencies-skills and knowledge– necessary to launch and grow a new church. A good coach can assess the readiness of the coachee and provide the appropriate amount of direction and the appropriate amount of support

Feedback “You will never maximize your potential in any area without a coach. You may be good. You may be even better than everyone else. But without outside input you will never be as good as you could be… Age and experience don’t necessarily make us better. Age and experience have a tendency to leave us in a rut, doing the same thing the same way with no one around to spur us to change.” Andy Stanley, Next Gen Leader
29
Proverbs 15:22-23 Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed. 23 A person finds joy in giving an apt reply— and how good is a timely word! Gospel Coaching is always situationally applied
