Animal Facts Description Snowy owls are usually covered in feathers. its white with black or brown speckles, it weighs about 4 pounds and its height is 2 ft. The snowy owl has big yellow eyes. Owls are able to spot far of the prey at night. Diet Owl normally eat hares, lemmings, and birds so it’s a carnivore. Movement Snowy owls can fly, it could fly up to 5 mph, and they also fly very silent. 4 Life Cycle When the babies are born there gray but when they get older they turn white. The babies are called chicks, the parents can lay up to 9 eggs, the parents takes care of the babies for at less two mouths. A picture of the animal as a baby or young. Snowy owls are solitary except during the breeding season. 5 Animal Interactions A snowy owl protects it self by camouflaging and attacking with its talons. Its good that snowy owls can camouflaging so there predators can’t see them. The snowy owls communicate with other animals by being usually being silent. Good eye sight. The snowy owls have very good eye sight at night. Ouch! Snowy owls can turn there head all the way in the back of there body. A pic to accompany fact #2 Really good hearing?
