The Bov-A2 element is conserved in the NOS2 gene of bovid species.
The Bov-A2 element is conserved in the NOS2 gene of bovid species. A ∼300 bp region of the cattle TP53 gene and NOS2 gene from cattle, buffalo, bison, and yak were aligned to the consensus BOV-A2 sequence. Candidate transcription factor binding sites derived from analysis with Jaspar are indicated in bold. Asterisks indicate bases conserved across the species. Rachel Young et al.
