Prepare For Worship Rest the night before (Jn. 4:24; Acts 20:7-17)
Have a mind to work (1 Cor. 14:33, 40) Dress for the occasion (Ex. 28; 1 Pet. 2:5, 9; 1 Tim. 2:9) Have a mind to concentrate (Phil. 3:17; Mk. 4:19) Be at peace with God and men (Prov. 16:28; 28:9; Matt. 5:23-24; Jn. 9:31)

Prepare For Service To aid others in physical ways, we must be willing & able (Eph. 4:28; Phil. 2:3-4) To help others spiritually, we need to grow ourselves (Gal. 6:1; Tit. 1:13; 3:10-11; Prov. 14:29; 29:11) We must prepare through study, meditation, and prayer (1 Pet. 3:15-17; 1 Pet. 2:11-12)

Prepare for Eternity All who are of sound mind & accountable age have sinned (Isa. 59:1-2; Rom. 3:23) Those who reject God’s plan of salvation will be separated from Him for eternity (Mk. 9:4; Lk. 16:19-26; Jn. 5:5-29) All will give an account (2 Cor. 5:9-11) We must prepare by accepting God’s conditions of salvation (Rom. 10:17; Heb. 11:6; Acts 17:30; Rom. 10:10; Mk. 16:16; Rev. 2:10) We must prepare by growing unto perfection (Heb. 6:1) We must prepare by helping others to see the light (Lk. 16:27-31; Acts 8:1)

Conclusion “By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.”
Prophets of old told their generations of the need to make preparations (Amos 4:6-12) Jesus taught that WE must ALL make preparations for the judgement (Matt. 25:1-13) “By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.”
