Dedicated time is needed
1. Greatest obstacle is your agency does not have the staff time to get Tickets assigned and provide services. Examine why? 2. How much time is needed? Dedicated staff time at least hours per week. Example: A caseload of 35 Assigned Tickets typically would require 1 FTE; if had Tickets assigned would be a .5 FTE. 3. Fulfill obligations of ADEN agreement JOIN the monthly ADEN Huddles and the Advanced Training (you will be more efficient and ease workload) In-house expert who is certified Work Incentive Practitioner, if not already in place Respond timely to ADEN referrals and assign Tickets – at least 10 Tickets per year ML

Understanding where your en fits among funding sources
Examine the reason why other contracts have higher priority? Did you know that EN Payments are often greater than VR Vendor payments or Medicaid Waiver payments? Do you understand the EN Payment Structure?

Understanding and planning for en payment schedule
Why is there a delay? You need to understand the payment process National wage record collection SSA processing evidence of working Rule of thumb: 6-9 month after the month wages were earned Strategies to plan for these delays Be aware of the delays Build your EN staff capacity on the back of another funded project, just like you do for any business expansion Need Tickets assigned of 10 or more to start and need to concentrate on these Participants gaining employment Be sure Participants working are reporting wages to local SSA office Plan for the delays – year 2 AFTER you assign Tickets who are placed on a job

Market your en Examine current clients to see if anyone good fit for Ticket assignment. Talk to Kevin or Mary Lynn to conduct this review. Market your EN locally: numerous helpful tool and training on ADEN Resources. Log into the ADEN Site and pick from the marketing toolkit. Expand your Market if you want more referrals. How? Consider distance based services. Talk to Mary Lynn or Kevin about this idea. ML

Create Action Plan. Schedule time with ADEN Director in the next 30 days to customized action steps relevant to your agency. Attend Training Join future training and if missed past Huddles watch the recordings. If not certified staff in SSA Work Incentives, then get registered for summer class. Marketing Plan Specific steps can be determined during meeting with ADEN Director. Examine if Tickets within current clientele Consider distance based EN services. Start Assigning Tickets Respond to referrals and set goal for minimum 10 assignments per year.
