Textbooks All classes will use the Red Algebra 1 Book and will have a copy to keep at home Resources are available at…. mix/ccpsmathresources

4 Supplies Notebooks should have 5 sections…. Drills, Notes, Homework, Tests/Quizzes, and Misc. Should be brought to class every day Should be organized & in order by date Will be cleaned out after each quarter Other supplies needed…. Pencil, Red Pen, Free Reading Book, Effort PLEASE check often on your child’s supplies!

5 Notes Will be taken daily Students given pre-printed copy with blanks
Should be organized by date in notebook Are a great resource to use for studying and for homework help Students should write everything that is on the screen on their paper

6 Assignments Drills Daily, corrections allowed
Homework will be assigned daily, even on Fridays It is very important! Homework is graded on completion (5 points per day)…attempt each problem Quizzes and Tests Long Term Assignment Board

7 Getting Help This material is challenging and requires effort and hard work Don’t wait until it’s too late Class Homeroom Flex (Flex Tracker) Peer Tutoring Don’t be scared to ask!!!!

8 Grading Policy for Periods 4 and 6
Warner Mathematics Grading Policy for Periods 3 and 5 Formative Homework is 10%, Formative Classwork is 20%, Summative Assessments are 70% Grading Policy for Periods 4 and 6 Formative Homework is 10%, Formative Classwork is 30%, Summative Assessments are 60%

9 Students are expected to have devices turned OFF and out of sight
BYOD Cell phones and other devices are not allowed in the classroom at any time….homeroom, flex, class time, etc. Other technology is available when needed….laptops, TI-nspires, math department tablets Students are expected to have devices turned OFF and out of sight
