1. 9th Grade College and Career Readiness with GCIS

2. Have students to log into their ASPEN account
Login ID: Student ID (LASID)
Password: Birthdate, in format of MMDDYYYY

3. Students must then click Page Directory

4. Click SLDS Icon below

5. Click the SLDS icon

6. Click the “My Career Plan” icon on the right side of the screen.

7. Disable the popup blocker then click okay
Disable the popup blocker then click okay. The popup blocker must be disabled in order to access the Occupation Exploration page. To disable pop up block click internet settings and click allow.

8. Click Yes and use your ASPEN Login
Troubleshooting
Click Yes and use your ASPEN Login
Click no, then click yes. A new screen should populate. Hover over Occupations and then click Occupations.

9. To disable pop up blocker click the “lock” in the red circle below (only if a pop up blocker error message occurs ).

10. Click “Pop ups and redirects” circled in red below and click allow (only if popup blocker is received).

11. Click on the “Occupation Exploration” tab and select at least 3 occupations. Save 3 occupations to your portfolio.

12. Click, “Choose your Occupation (3)”

13. All 9th graders must explore at least three (3) Careers/Occupations and Click SAVE.

14. To save an occupation, click on the occupation and click save on the right side of the screen below.

15. Click SAVE INFORMATION to add occupations to your portfolio.

16. Click occupations to return to the screen to choose more occupations
Click occupations to return to the screen to choose more occupations. Students must save at least 3 occupations in total.

17. Students should refresh their screen after adding at least 3 occupations. Completed status in green should show.

18. Happy career exploration
100% Completion of all students required, we currently have 66% complete. Lets go Freshmen!!!
Students must save at least 3 careers/occupations in their portfolio
Keep in mind, many of the occupations have videos students can watch to gather more information about different careers.
