Triangle Triangle shape permits the use of large numbers of flowers
Most popular of all design shapes Three distinct sides, corners, angles or tips “One-sided designs” (normally viewed only from one side) Can be symmetrical or asymmetrical

Circular This design heavily massed with flowers to give it a round shape Can be one-sided (oval, fan) or viewed from all sides (round, oval) Can be symmetrical or asymmetrical

Horizontal This design is usually in a low or long container and often placed where it will be viewed below eye level from all directions Strong horizontal line Provides a peaceful, restful feeling

L - shape An L-shaped arrangement is usually narrow in width either to the left or right

Modified L-shape It is the same as the L shape except for the additional short side

Vertical This arrangement is usually made with taller flowers, sometimes contains few flowers The container plays a very important part of this design, usually vertical containers Used when strong vertical line needs to be emphasized

Crescent A semi-circular line design which requires most flowers to be wired (fresh) or bent in a curve shape

Hogarth Curve Often called the Lazy-S
Its modern shape has dramatic emphasis and calls attention to the natural beauty and grace of a line
