Website / Technology We will be shutting the Heroes Memorial website this year, and creating a subdomain on our site. Scouts Cleaning the Heroes Memorial once a quarter Will clean the Memorial on 25 May.

17 New Business Department Convention
Convention is set for Wednesday, 12 June – Sunday, 16 June 2019 Being held at Seven Feathers Casino, Canyonville, OR (25 miles south of Roseburg). Currently, 2 members are attending from this post. Need to know tonight if you plan to attend Post 180 is authorized 11 delegates. Vote to authorize payment of delegate fees of $66.00 (Paid by Commander Lowe)

18 New Business Use of the St. Henry’s Catholic Church Parking Lot.
Have Spoken to Father Charles at the church The church will allow us limited use of the lot on the third Wednesday of each month. Lot not available to us on weekends due to the possibility of weddings, funerals, etc. Can not put tents, shelters, etc without a city inspection. Will charge us around $50.00 a month, and we would need to sign a lease for of the lot. Advise against using the lot based on the limitations

19 New Business Fundraiser / Membership Drive at Gresham City Hall Transit Station TriMet does not charge a usage fee to Non-Profits Will need to have specific event insurance naming TriMet as a beneficiary Will need to provide a usage map to TriMet Need to find out about event insurance cost.

20 New Business Free Haircuts for Vets
National Guard Member’s Wife is a cosmetology student. Will offer free haircuts veterans. Have invited the American Legion and DAV to participate. Date is Saturday 27 April.

26 Good of the order HR 445 H.R. 445, the Help Hire Our Heroes Act. This bill would amend the VOW to Hire Heroes Act of 2011 to make permanent the Veterans Retraining Assistance Program (VRAP). This bill would strike the end dates of the Veterans Retraining Assistance HR 303 and S208 Retired Pay Restoration Act. Reverse the rule stating that Military retirees who have a service-connected disability rating below 50 percent have their retirement pay reduced, dollar for dollar, by the amount of disability compensation they receive.
