2 Where We Are 2 RIQI is in the homestretch of our grants. In order to meet all deliverables and finish strong, RIQI is executing an intense push strategy to accelerate our work. RIQI must demonstrate the so what.

3 The So What 3 To finish strong, RIQI is prioritizing efforts in the following areas: CurrentCare Enrollment Provider Notification Service Patient Record Inquiry Service Direct Messaging Meaningful Use – Stage 1 and 2 Quality Measurement and Reporting

7 The Opportunity 7 RIQI is transitioning from a total focus on infrastructure-building to continued build out, actively leveraging infrastructure for real improvement. The goal now is use and benefit.

8 The Challenge 8 HIE and Beacon interventions are not being adopted fast enough. The interventions are ahead of the environment and market demand. The clock is ticking.

9 RIQIs Strategic Response Elevate provider notification as a priority anchor service. Redeploy Regional Extension Center (REC) resources to deliver one-on- one, comprehensive, technical support services to individual Beacon practices. Provide additional subsidies for practices that adopt and consistently use provider notification. Identify, coach, and deploy provider champions. Promote and publicly recognize high-performing Beacon practices. 9

10 RIQIs Strategic Response (cont.) Troubleshoot barriers to adoption of Beacon interventions and practices. Engage interim Chief Medical Officer and accelerate hire of a permanent CMO. 10

11 Next Steps Continue to implement Finish Strong strategies. Communicate Finish Strong milestone achievements to ONC and RIQI Board. Consider ways that RIQI Board can play a role: Champion and model desired interventions Recommend strategies for engaging providers in adopting Beacon interventions Recognize top performers within your organizations and collectively 11
