Lesson Topic(s):Addition Week of:3/4-3/8 Objectives: Students will apply mathematical process to solve addition problems. TEKS: Numbers and Operations. The student applies mathematical process standards to develop and understanding of addition and subtraction situations in order to solve problems. Essential Question: How do we solve addition problems to real world problems using concrete objects? Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Lesson Plan Whole group discussion/modeling of addition. Leprechaun addition page. Complete Lucky Charms graph. Call out addition problems and students use their lucky charts and white boards to solve the problems. Complete the 100 chart coloring sheet. Complete the Fruit Loops sort and answer the corresponding questions. Students will participate in a whole group counting and number recognition activity. Partners will play number recognition and writing activities. Math Stations Vocabulary Addition Plus Equals How many more Total Problem Higher order questions/ELLs Discuss with your partner how to add 3+2. How would you orally demonstrate addition? Write using vocabulary words: problem ,add, equal. Explain what the problem is with this statement? When I take some away, I am adding.
