2. PICASSO – BLUE PERIOD
The Blue Period of Picasso is the period between 1900 and 1904, when he painted essentially in shades of blue and blue-green.
This work seemed to reflect his experience of relative poverty and instability, beggars, the old and frail and the blind.

3. TODAY – first task
On a piece of paper create a textured BLUE painted background
Rip small bits of paper, tissue and glue them to your paper
Go over all of the page with a BLUE, WHITE, LIGHT BLUE AND DARK BLUE wash

4. TODAY – second task On a seperate piece of BLACK paper EITHER
Draw a large Edith Berkin portrait OR
Draw a large Picasso portrait
USE OIL or CHALK pastel

5. HOMEWORK DRAW THE BLUE PERIOD COLOURS OBJECT IMAGE
AND DRAW AN OBJECT OF YOUR CHOICE (NOT A PHONE, TV OR COMPUTER) IN BLUE COLOURS
INCLUDE A BLUE BACKGROUND
