7 Displacement Displacement= the direction and distance from the starting point to the ending point along a straight line Ex) 5 blocks North from the bus stop

8 Combining Displacements
Displacements can be added, though we must pay attention to distance and direction Ex) Walking forward 10 steps, then backward 3 means a total displacement of 7 steps

9 Vector vs. Scalar Vectors provide information about direction and distance Ex) 3 meters East Scalars only provide information about distance Ex) 3 meters
