Prom Attire Guidelines

2 Why do we have a dress code?
Appropriate dress is a reflection of self respect. We are not trying to inhibit your style. We want to teach you how to make good choices. Prom should be fun and memorable. We want you to be comfortable. As a part of the BG community, we represent the ideals of the school in all aspects.

3 Guideline 1: BUST LINE Dresses may NOT be below the bust line.
The bust line continues around your sides and directly under your arm pit. With arms at your sides, flesh should not touch flesh below the bust line. Depending on individual bust size, a dress that may be appropriate for one student, may not be appropriate for another student.

17 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
While we will be reasonable with the interpretation of these guidelines, be aware that you will not be permitted into the prom if you do not meet them. We will have supplies available to help you to alter your dress to make it acceptable, but pinning and cover ups do not always work. The guidelines are to be followed by all BG students and guests of BG students attending the prom. If you have any questions or concerns, see Mrs. Byrne or Mrs. Donnelly before making a purchase. Students who do not follow the guidelines and are asked to leave will not receive a refund.
