©2012 Construction Science, LLC 11 Calendar Recommendation Use the Global Calendar list ONLY as a library of calendars to copy when creating Project Calendars. Since the Default Calendar controls the days which are shaded grey on the Gantt Chart, design a basic 5 workday/week calendar so the weekends will be shaded grey on the Gantt Chart. With extreme caution, you can use Global Calendars to set Holidays for Project Calendars
12
Project Calendar Override ©2012 Construction Science, LLC12 The settings at Admin > Admin Preferences > Time Periods will override the calendar assigned to the project unless the box is checked to allow the calendar to drive.
13
Baseline Setup When creating baselines from projects which already have progress (actuals), you must use the correct Admin settings or the Gantt Chart bars will not appear correctly ©2012 Construction Science, LLC13 Admin -> Preferences -> Earned Value Under Earned Value Calculation, When calculating earned value from a baseline use: Select Budgeted Values with Current Dates, NOT Budgeted Values with Planned Dates
