As my background is somewhat out of the mainstream of “Digital Service Learning” for this gathering, let me note some of the pieces that will inform any introductory assessments I might offer and might suggest areas of possible interest, perspectives and arenas for exploration and conversation for the Q&A. This includes work as:
· director of the CTC (Community Technology Center) VISTA Project,
· editor of The Community Technology Review, and
· staff and faculty member in the Community Media and Technology Program in the College of Public and Community Service at UMass/Boston.
