I. Action and Reaction A. For every action [force], there is an equal and opposite reaction [force] B. Occurs in pairs – equal in size but opposite in direction C. The pairs do not act on the same object so it does not cancel out D. Equal force does not always have equal effects

II. Momentum A. Momentum (p=mv) mass x velocity p= kg x m/s (+ direction) B. Force is related to change in momentum- Momentum over time is Force (N) C. Momentum is conserved in collisions Law of conservation of momentum- the total amount of p in an isolated system is conserved D. When momentum is not transferred to another object it is conserved
