In 1995 scientists wanted to control the amount of Gypsy Moths because they kill oak trees The scientists removed all the mice from selected plots of land and found that the moths populations increased The scientists then added acorns to the plot. What effect did the acorns have? More mice.

The mice then ate the acorns and the gypsy moths as well What was the conclusion? Large acorn crops decrease gypsy moth populations. Acorns also attract deer. What are the effects of deer in this ecosystem. Deer bring ticks to mice, and then to animals (dogs and cats), and then people.
