1 Creating a Works Cited Page

2 What? A Works Cited page is a listing of all the bibliographies (sources) that you used in composing a written piece of work

3 Why? To give credit to the author of your research
To allow your reader to look up further details about your research

4 When? Every time you use research to help support a piece of writing

5 How? Maintain bibliographies for each of the sources you use to complete your research Alphabetize your bibliographies Type your bibliographies in the form of a list Use a hanging indent for each bibliography

6 Hanging Indent A hanging indent is when the second line of a bibliography is indented. Look at the example below Georges, Henry. How to Fix a Motorcycle. New York: Princeton Publishing Co, 1990.

7 Works Cited Remember to alphabetize each bibliographies
Type the words Works Cited, centered at the top of the page. Remember to capitalize W and C. Alberts, Jennifer. Cats. Atlanta: Southern Printing Press, Inc., Banks, Bethany. The World of Mammals. New York: Scholastic Press, 1999. Smith, Jeffrey. Domesticated Pets. Harrisburg: Pennsylvania Press, 1997. Zelensky, James. How to Train Your Cat. Columbus: Books Are Us Printing, 1995. Remember to use a hanging indent
