1. Creating a Works Cited Page

2. What?
A Works Cited page is a listing of all the bibliographies (sources) that you used in composing a written piece of work

3. Why? To give credit to the author of your research
To allow your reader to look up further details about your research

4. When?
Every time you use research to help support a piece of writing

5. How?
Maintain bibliographies for each of the sources you use to complete your research
Alphabetize your bibliographies
Type your bibliographies in the form of a list
Use a hanging indent for each bibliography

6. Hanging Indent
A hanging indent is when the second line of a bibliography is indented. Look at the example below
Georges, Henry. How to Fix a Motorcycle. New York: Princeton Publishing Co, 1990.

7. Works Cited Remember to alphabetize each bibliographies
Type the words Works Cited, centered at the top of the page. Remember to capitalize W and C.
Alberts, Jennifer. Cats. Atlanta: Southern Printing Press, Inc.,
Banks, Bethany. The World of Mammals. New York: Scholastic Press, 1999.
Smith, Jeffrey. Domesticated Pets. Harrisburg: Pennsylvania Press, 1997.
Zelensky, James. How to Train Your Cat. Columbus: Books Are Us Printing, 1995.
