IEEE has several adopting Alliances using the standard in very different ways
Each Alliance creates their own vertical profile (PHY, MAC, security, mesh routing, transport) but it is never clear within IEEE exactly which features of IEEE are used and where

IEEE solved a similar problem by creating profiles to describe different usages of their standard

Kick off an IG/SG/TG to capture usage of IEEE within various industry alliances
Volunteer to be the first: Wi-SUN FAN
PAR will be a bit different since the best practice/standard must only document what is used and what is projected for use (all comments along the lines of ”why don’t you use xxx” would be rejected)
