1 Forest Hill Urban Renewal
1 Introduction – Simon/Michael/Bruno Simon – good evening, my name is SMcC. I live in FH and work in Sydenham. Like Michael & Bruno, my colleagues in DA, I am an architect. We have been working with the FH Soc on a voluntary basis over the past year developing these proposals for the centre of FH . Michael – my name is MB. I also live and work locally. Tonight is the public launch of our joint endeavours. We have not set out to provide definitive answers, but instead we have tried to understand the development of FH and identify opportunities for improving the town centre for the benefit of local residents & businesses. We have raised questions about the future character on FH and we would like your involvement in shaping a vision for the town centre Bruno - my name is Bruno Tonelli. As you may guess from my accent, I do not live locally. I am an architect with my own studio in Brescia in N Italy. I know Michael and Simon through social media. We work together remotely, communicating with s, drawings and Skype. We only have 20 minutes, so this will be a whistle-stop tour of our efforts, after which we will take questions for 5 minutes. If you would like to find out more, you can see an exhibition of our proposals here, at *** from Thursday or by following links on the FH Society website discourse|architecture

2 Forest Hill Town Centre - Today
We all love FH: the Horniman, the pools, the shops, cafes & bars. There are so many good things to enjoy – we think that it is great place! But when you look at the area around the station it is a dump! The station buildings are nondescript and surrounded by surface parking. Pedestrian access across the railway is squalid and impassable for anyone with heavy shopping, a buggy or restricted mobility… Forest Hill Town Centre - Today
