Overview Platforms I will be using. Facebook Twitter
I will be using these as they tend to get the most attention online as well as being the most versatile and simple, these are the perfect places to share things like articles and are capable of much more too. These platforms are the most popular and tend to have a very varied audience, so people of all groups can access my content.
3
Research When I was doing my research I noticed a trend, media organizations as a whole were more successful (more of a following, more audience feedback) on these platforms than any others. The companies that used these platforms also tended to respond more to their audience when they were using Facebook and Twitter than when they used other platforms such as Youtube and Instagram.
4
Comments Another thing that makes twitter and facebook useful is you CAN be opinionated, the whole point of publishing on these platforms is generate discussion and therefore help your content get traction and become more successful.
5
Sharing One of the biggest ways people get their content noticed is by other people sharing it and on facebook and twitter, sharing content is a huge part of the platforms; on twitter you can retweet and on facebook you can share very easily and it helps massively getting a larger reach and a bigger audience.
6
Polls Both of these platforms give you the option to create polls, allowing you to quickly gain audience feedback, people are also more likely to participate in polls as they only take a few seconds and are anonymous, this serves to improve your content based on feedback as well as simply asking what your audience thinks.
7
Hashtags and searching
Hashtags allow you to search for all posts regarding a certain topic, as well as being a useful search tool, this can also get attention to your posts. A good use of hashtags can marginally improve your reach. Both platforms allow you to search for certain keywords easily, speeding up research and improve content.
