2. Review Critical Reading: Day 1
Sit with your partner from yesterday
Have a short conversation: review yesterday’s work
Identify a common strength you and your partner share
Identify a common weakness you and your partner share
Identify an interesting difference between you two

3. Critical Reading: Day 2
Look over the MC section. On the front page, identify:
Length of text
Number of questions
DO NOT ANSWER THE QUESTIONS. (really, I mean it, don’t). Instead, annotate the questions! For each question:
Highlight the key word in the direction (1-3 words)
Write any notes that would help you to answer the question (in the margins). Be very thorough!

4. Critical Reading: Day 2 (cont.)
Compare and contrast your notes from yesterday with your annotations from today! What do you notice!?
Working together with your partner, answer the MC questions. Come see me to score when you are finished!
Have a conversation with your partner (and perhaps other peers around you):
Discuss why the right answers are right and why the wrong answers are wrong!
Discuss the connection between critical reading skills, the rhetorical précis, and the AP Eng. MC test.
Partners: Turn in a packet with all your work!! Write the correct score (+__/13) on the front of your MC test!

Review your annotations of the Declaration of Independence & have these with you in class
