Characteristics:
Over half the moon is lit
Shadow is on the LEFT
Lasts about 6 days

Full side of moon facing Earth is lit
No shadow
Lasts 1 day, but appears full 3 days

8. Phase 6 – Waning Gibbous moon
Characteristics:
Over half the moon lit
Shadow on RIGHT
Lasts 6 days, from full moon to 3rd quarter moon

Moon has completed ¾ of its orbit around Earth
