This week went by quickly. Thank you so much for helping your kids stay on top of their homework! Most were very responsible! I gave a pass this week to those who did not turn it in this week since it is our first week. The kiddos are also coming home with their reading logs for September today. There is a great video we made for the kids to get them excited about it. I will try to post it to Seesaw for you to see. It is quite entertaining! I will also be getting with those who signed that they would like to be volunteers about some opportunities coming up shortly. Spelling Words These are our words for this week! We are studying open vowel patterns. Cry, go, she, fly, we, so, baby, robot, tidy No Excuse Words (words that don’t always follow the rules that we need to know how to spell) Once, know, saw, soon, because, eat, watch What We’re Learning This Week Reading: What makes up story structure? Writing: How do we put our narrative events in order? Math: Place Value Science: How do we have so many different landforms on earth? Challenge Problem! If your child can come up with the correct answer, show their work, and bring it back signed they will get peanut bucks! Read the word problem, show your work Lilian had 33 craft pom pom balls. She wanted to divide them into equal groups. Draw the equal groups. Are there any left over. Does this make 33 an even or odd number?
