1. English 250 Electronic Portfolio Decisions

Welcome to my Engl 250 PowerPoint where I will discuss all the reasons of why I chose certain things on my portfolio such as the theme, fonts, colors, and picture.

2. Layout Style
One of the first things I had to decide on was the layout style and background choice. I chose this particular layout because it is simple but yet feels sophisticated and professional. I am a girly girl and love the color pink so that is one of the main reasons why I chose this layout because of the color. It almost reminds me as a layout you would find on a wedding blog. I also chose to use different pages within my portfolio and subpages under one section because it clears up the pages and does not make them seem to full with content.

3. The Header
After deciding the layout I focused on the header. I chose “Stacy’s English 250 Portfolio” as the name because it was simple and got straight to the point of what I was trying to accomplish. I love the cursive font because again it reminds me of a girly girl with the pink background.

4. Picture
I chose to use this picture because I think it is a really neat picture and relates to my life because I attend Iowa State. I also think it blends in well with the background because the picture and black and does not have a lot of color. However, I also think it stands out because of the sparkler colored ISU. As you can see in the second snap shot I did not put the picture onto the different pages. I believe it makes more sense and looks better to only have it on the Home page.

5. The Body
I wanted the title and the content of the paragraph to be different in some way. I chose to use a bigger font and different color for the heading because it helps it stick out more. Also, I like how all the paragraphs have a white background because it makes it easier to read.

6. The Website
After going through revisions and reflections of my work and displaying it in an electronic portfolio, this is my final product. Thank You.
