5. Oceans’ Effect on Land
Erosion makes beaches smaller. (waves carry sand and sediments away from the shore)
Deposition makes beaches larger. (waves drop sediments near the shore)

6. Sea Cave
A split or hollow opening, usually at sea level, in the base of a sea cliff, formed by waves acting on weak parts of.

7. Sea Arch
Formed by wave erosion which leaves a bridge of rock over the water

8. Sea Stack A pillar of rock, found in the water close to a coastline.
Begins as a sea arch that is eroded by waves.

9. Estuary Area where salt and freshwater mix
A place where a river and an ocean come together
