2 Ocean Information About three-fourths of Earth is covered with oceans.
Ocean water is denser that fresh water because of salts and other dissolved substances making it easier to float. Water pressure is greater the deeper you go. land ocean

4 Gravitational Pull of the Moon

5 Oceans’ Effect on Land Erosion makes beaches smaller. (waves carry sand and sediments away from the shore) Deposition makes beaches larger. (waves drop sediments near the shore)

7 Sea Arch Formed by wave erosion which leaves a bridge of rock over the water

8 Sea Stack A pillar of rock, found in the water close to a coastline.
Begins as a sea arch that is eroded by waves.

9 Estuary Area where salt and freshwater mix
