2. Snapshot of Tarhe Elementary
In 1993, Tarhe was originally slated to close because of a lack of enrollment. Today the building is one of the largest elementary buildings in Lancaster.
River Valley Highlands began construction in and houses are still being built today. 90% of our population comes from River Valley Highlands.
Tarhe is one of the fastest growing elementary schools in Lancaster with an enrollment of 320 students in 2003 to 452 in 2011!

3. SNAPSHOT- cont. 10 modular classrooms have been added since 2004.
We are continuing to have a “transient” rate that has not always been the case at Tarhe. We’ve had approximately 41 move-ins and 42 move-outs.
The free and reduced lunch rate has risen from 16.9% in 2003 to 35% in 2011.
