Combined $67.5 million Vetoes That Impact Education in South Carolina $10.1 million to support teacher pay raises (one-time money) $39 million left in place in recurring money Budget clauses left in place that mandate districts provide 2% raises and step increases for teachers $1.2 million toward boosting enrollment at the Governor’s School of Science and Math $1.25 million for construction at the Governor’s School of Arts and Humanities $200, 000 for DHEC head lice program Legislature to Meet to Discuss Vetoes House – Tuesday, July 17th Senate – Wednesday, July 18th
