General Education Program Gordon Rule Requirements Overall UCF GPA of 2.0 or higher Business Common Program Prerequisites (CPP): ACG 2021 Financial Accounting ACG 2071 Managerial Accounting ECO 2023 Microeconomics ECO 2013 Macroeconomics CGS 2100 Computer Fundamentals STA 2023 Statistics and MAC 2233 Business Calculus OR QMB 3003 Quantitative Business Tools 1 Primary Core Standards Met The Business Common Program Prerequisites (CPPs) are classes that many of you could’ve taken at your previous institution as part of your AA degree. If not you must now complete them at UCF. Make sure students know that if they took Business Calc and Stats they have satisfied Quant 1 and will be going directly into Quant 2. Students who only took Business Calc or Stats will take Quant 1.

7 Primary Core Standards for Business Majors
Completion of the 5 Primary Core classes at UCF or an AACSB accredited institution, with a minimum GPA of a 2.0 (Non-Tech) or (Tech), prior to admission into the major.  MAN 3025 Management of Organizations MAR 3023 Marketing FIN 3403 Finance QMB 3200 Quantitative Business Tools II ACG 3173 Accounting Decision Makers (Non-Accounting Majors) OR ACG 3131 Intermediate Accounting 1 (Accounting Majors) Completion of the 5 Primary Core classes with a minimum GPA of a 3.0, prior to admission to the major.  MAN 3025 Management of Organizations MAR 3023 Marketing FIN 3403 Finance ECO 3411 Quantitative Business Tools II ACG 3173 Accounting Decision Makers (Non-Accounting Majors) OR ACG 3131 Intermediate Accounting 1 (Accounting Majors) Good news…you do have an option to retake one class to obtain the 3.0 GPA requirement. ONLY ONE course of the Primary core can be repeated ONE time in the next term of enrollment**   **ONLY ONE course of the Primary core can be repeated ONE time **

Technical Majors (Accounting, Finance, Management, and Marketing) must earn a grade of at least a “B” (3.0) in the first course(s) of their chosen major: Accounting Majors- ACG 3131 Intermediate Accounting 1 Finance Majors- FIN 3403 Finance and ACG 3173 Accounting for Decision Makers Management Majors- MAN 3025 Management of Organizations Marketing Majors- MAR 3023 Marketing Non-Technical Majors (Integrated Business, Economics and Real Estate) must earn a grade of at least a “C” (2.0) in the first course of their chosen major: Integrated Business Economics Majors – QMB 3200 Quantitative Business Tools II Real Estate Majors- FIN 3403 Finance Students wanting to major in Accounting, Finance, Management, and Marketing must earn a grade of at least a “B” (3.0) in the first course of their chosen major: Accounting Majors- ACG 3131 Intermediate Accounting 1 Finance Majors- FIN 3403 Finance and ACG 3173 Accounting for Decision Makers Management Majors- MAN 3025 Management of Organizations Marketing Majors- MAR 3023 Marketing Students wanting to major in Integrated Business, Economics and Real Estate must earn a grade of at least a “C” (2.0) in the first course of their chosen major: Integrated Business Economics Majors - ECO 3411 Real Estate Majors- FIN 3403 (Segway) We have been talking about the GPA’s required for the College of Business for admission requirements but lets take a step back and talk about the University admission requirements.
