What are Natural Rights?
They are inalienable rights – rights you are born with that cannot be taken away by anyone Life – live life without fear of threat Liberty – free from being controlled by others and live as you please Property – freedom to work and gain means necessary for survival What are Natural Rights?

Without government people will self-indulge Government is there to protect everyone’s natural rights equally

A government that is/has LIMITED (no one person or branch has complete power) A social contract (individuals give up personal freedoms for greater protection of the community) Consent of the governed (people agree to the government and can “revolt” if their gov’t doesn’t protect them)
