Population The set of individuals, items, or data from which a statistical example is taken Data factual information, especially information used to reason or make decisions. Two types of data: Categorical and Numerical

specific labels or names for categories “how many” of each category is in the data set Ex: Restaurant Owner: Data is categorical because the owner is concerned about, which menu items are most popular. Numerical data that is counted or measured Ex: Different students’ heights

Range Outliers Cluster The points the farthest away from other values in a set of data. Examples? The difference between the minimum and maximum values/data points. A group of the same or similar data occurring close together; a bunch

6 Statistics need to be OrGaNiZeD.
Gaps areas where values are not present or are missing in the data set.
